Installation Instructions for Standard Check Valves
 
number oneFor 1/8 inch NPT spray booms us a 1/8 x 1/4 Reducing Hex Nipple and apply pipe dope or Teflon tape to the 1/8 inch NTP thread. Tighten on spray boom.

number twoScrew check valve onto 1/4 inch NPT thread nipple. As seen on (FIGURE 2)

 

 

DO NOT USE PIPE DOPE OR TEFLON TAPE.

   
   

number threeTurn the check valve by hand until the check valve gets snug then use a 7/8 inch wrench to tighten approximately one more turn. Be sure to tighten so the leg of the check valve is pointed down toward the ground.

CAUTION DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
